Privacy policy

Tournify by BANGERS is a pickleball Americano session tracker (with an optional King’s Court finish). It is published by Barry (brantb73/bangers-americano).

Data stays on your device

Player names, scores, sit-outs, comments, session history, and recap scripts are stored only on the device you are using. The website uses your browser’s localStorage. The iPhone app uses the app’s own on-device storage. Nothing is uploaded to Tournify, and there is no account.

Sessions in the iPhone app are separate from sessions on bangerstournify.com. Use Export/Import in the app to move a backup between the phone and the website.

What we do not do

Audio recaps

In the iPhone app, “Create audio recap” uses Apple’s speech synthesizer on the device and writes an audio file there. That file stays on the phone until you choose to share it (for example with Messages). The app does not send the script or the audio to a server. The development speech path described below is not used in the App Store app.

On the website, “Play preview” uses your browser’s Web Speech API and does not create a file. “Generate audio” only works when you run the project yourself (npm run dev or npm run preview) and then talks to that computer’s /api/tts helper. The public site at bangerstournify.com is static and does not include that helper, so the public site does not send your script anywhere.

Sharing

Share, copy, and export do something only when you tap them. They hand text or a file to your device’s share sheet, clipboard, or downloads. Where that file goes next is up to you and the app you pick (Messages, Mail, Files, and so on).

Children

Tournify is a general-audience sports scoreboard. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

If this policy changes, the updated page will be posted at https://bangerstournify.com/privacy.html with a new date.
